Tonight's FHE subject was Thanksgiving. I asked Oakley if she knew what Thanksgiving is for and she said "Jesus". David told a very age appropriate, kid friendly version of the story of the ten lepers and Oakley totally understood. We talked about being thankful and then we each made a hand turkey. Oakley had the brilliant idea of adding googly eyes. We wrote on our turkeys all the things that we are thankful for. Oakley said that she was thankful for "Lex (her friend at school), her BeeMa and her sister Arianna". She gets it, she really does. What a great response to a question like that. Oh and I can't get over how cute Oakley's little "handwritting" is. She was just writing out all her blessing just like mom and dad!
